Wine scientist and vintner Michael McClendon sets up samples of Kipersol Estates wine for testing on Thursday in his lab at the winery near Bullard. A former Faulconer Scholar and pre-med biology student, McClendon is preparing for the release of the first vintage year — a 2011 — produced with him in charge.
